Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Increase The first public hearing will be held on August 31, 2010 at 7:00 PM at South Hays Fire Station No. 1, 1401 W. San Antonio Street, San Marcos, TX 78666. The second public hearing will be held on September 7, 2010 at 7:00 PM at South Hays Fire Station No. 1, 1401 W. San Antonio Street, San Marcos, TX 78666. The members of the governing body voted on the proposal to consider the tax increase as follows: Leighton Stallones Sharon O''Brien Lea Ann Kenworthy Grant Sibley FOR: AGAINST: PRESENT and not Buddy Martin voting: ABSENT: The average taxable value of a residence homestead in Hays County ESD #3 last year was $141,756.
